Rodney Gunn (Mitchell) entered the path to eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Rodney Gunn (Mitchell) was born to parents Tommy and Catherine Gunn on July 31, 1962, in Chicago Illinois. He grew up as the sixth child of seven. Rodney attended Washington Park High school in Racine, Wisconsin for his formal education. Rodney enjoyed reading, sports, and creatively teaching himself forms of martial arts. Rodney accepted Christ into his life at an early age.
Early in life he met Arniessie Evelyn Streeter and together they had one son, Rance. Later in life he met Constance Yvonne Gray and together they had one son Marcus.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tommy and Catherine Gunn, brothers Calvin and James Gunn, sisters Janice Jones-Gunn (Derek), Linda Ames, Tomasine Ames, and nephew Darrell Jerome Gunn.
Rodney is survived by and leaves to cherish his memories his sons Rance (Aurora) Streeter and Marcus (Mellisa) Gray, sisters Carolyn and Karen Gunn, Sheree Cannon-Gunn, Joy Johnson, brothers Troy (Lois) Ames, Nate and Corey Johnson, grandchildren Demar, Cameron, Qavauhghn, Zahara, Amaya, great-granddaughter Xoie, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service to honor Rodney’s life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at The Main Project & Cafe, located at 1014 State St. Racine, WI, 53404 from1:00P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
