Mary Virginia Barrientes, (NEE: Erickson), 75, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Mary was born in Racine on July 16, 1949, the daughter of Clifford and Julia Fay Erickson. On July 16, 2010 she married Guillermo Barrientes in Racine. Mary enjoyed drawing, reading, loved cooking, getting pampered and sitting outside especially around a campfire.
She also enjoyed playing the harmonica. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. Mary will be deeply missed by her husband Guillermo, and daughters Jennie and Angela. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters Faye (Duke) Lonergan, Maggie Danielski an Teri Erickson along with her brothers Christopher Erickson and Mark (Rita) Erickson. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Cody, Jaslinn, Marcelino, Mary, Shelah, Randy, Marcellus, Jason and Stefan along with 10 great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, cousin other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dennis and Martin, one sister Diane and her mother-in-law Delfina. Funeral services for Mary will be held in Strouf Funeral Home, 1001 High Street on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 12:00 until the time of service. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bray Center located at 924 Center St. in Racine from 4:00 P.M- 6:00 P.M. Burial is private for the family
