Liliane Larkin (Nee: Micheliane Dupuy) affectionately known as Lili, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025 at the age of 84 in Racine, Wisconsin.  Born in Angouleme, France, on January 13, 1941, Liliane resided in France with her family until she moved to the United States, She met her future husband, the late David A. Larkin, while he was stationed there during his service in the U.S. Army.  They married in France, and Liliane moved to Racine, Wisconsin, where she and her husband started a family together with their four sons.  Eager to embrace her new life in America, Liliane taught herself English by watching cartoons and reading the funnies – an inspiring testament to her resilience, determination and optimistic spirit.  Lilliane was a strong, gentle, kind-hearted woman who took great pleasure in cooking and baking for her family, especially desserts, in particular her renowned lemon bars.  When she wasn’t in the kitchen, she enjoyed listening to music, tackling word puzzles, knitting, and unwinding with comedy shows.  Her favorite color was purple and she had  a fondness for owls.  Liliane worked in manufacturing for many years at Welch Electric and retired from Mamco Corporation,  After retiring, she moved to Pembine, Wisconsin where she relished the peace and tranquility of her new surroundings.  Later, she returned to Racine, spending her final years with her youngest son, Dan, and daughter-in-law Michelle, who lovingly cared for her.  Liliane is survived by three sons, Jimmy, SR. (Mary Ellen) Larkin, David (Lorna) Larkin and Daniel (Michelle) Larkin, two grandchildren Jimmy Larkin, Jr. and Kora Rasmussen; and five great-grandsons: DePrie Bell, Darren, DaKori, Dainika and Kacynn Johnson-Hayes.  She is also survived by her newly blessed great-great granddaughter, Iris Bell.  Additionally she is survived by the Nevarez family, her devoted caretakers Chrystal Navarro, Miranda Harrington and her beloved little companion, Mekhi.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Larkin, son Richard Larkin, grandson Christopher Kawika Larkin and her comadre  Eliselda Nevarez.  The family extends their deepest gratitude to the medical staff at Ascension All Saints Hospital for their compassionate care.  A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to lovingly honor and remember Liliane.

Psalm 48:14  “For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.”
