Jozett Laverne Patterson, affectionately known as “Jozi” was born on October 20,1970 in Racine, Wi. She passed away on August 15, 2024 Jozett was the daughter of Anthony Lee and Catherine Elaine (Nee: Pitt) Patterson. She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Lee Patterson, and her sister Brenda Lee Porter. Jozett leaves behind a loving family, including her mother Catherine and her four siblings; Ronnie Pitt, Rosalind Golden, Saneida (Mark) Thurman, and Joyce Collins.
Though she didn’t have any children of her own, Jozett was like a mother to her many nieces, nephews, great -nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. She is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends. She graduated from Washington Park High School and went on to earn a degree in Child Care from Gateway Technical College, reflecting her nurturing spirit.

Jozett was a member of All Nations Pentecostal Prayer House, where her faith and community thrived. Jozett was a vibrant soul who embraced life with joy and a generous heart. She had a natural gift of bringing laughter and warmth to those around her. Jozi loved to cook, sing and share her kindness without hesitation, always ready to lend a helping hand. To know her was to love her and her presence will be deeply missed by all who was in her life. Her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts. Services for Jozett will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 @ 2:00 P.M. in Strouf Funeral Home in Racine., Pastor Carlson will be officiating. The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until the start of service . Private burial will be held per Jozett’s wishes.
