Robert Ellis Daugherty was born on 5/7/46 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He died on 1/30/25 in Garland, Texas from complications related to COPD at the age of 78. Robert (Bob) was dedicated to his work, serving 30 years at Western Electric/AT&T in Columbus, Ohio. He had a passion for horse racing and loved to spend time at “the track”. Bob enjoyed gardening, fishing, and was an excellent cook. He crafted the art of homemade pizza. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ellis Daugherty and Geraldine Utley Edwards Daugherty of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He is survived by his son Robert Max Daugherty and wife Michele of Garland, Texas; daughter Tanya Beth Kellerman and husband Mike of Bedford, Texas; son Christopher Michael Daugherty of Prosper, Texas; ex-wife Linda Kay Daugherty of Dallas, Texas; and grandchildren Jonathan, Megan, Michael, Adam, Benjamin, and Charlie. He is survived by brothers Steve and Jerry Daugherty, sisters Mary Peters, Brenda Fry, Lisa Dennis, and nephew Jeff Combs, all of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He also leaves behind numerous extended family around the country. Bob was a man of few words. He was quiet and very caring. His love for his family and the Ohio State Buckeyes was never ending.
