Richard “Dick” Soens, 89, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Lincoln Park Nursing in Racine.    Richard was born June 20, 1936 in Racine.  On June 20, 1976 he married the love of his life, Kathy Andersen in Racine.  Richard loved sports, especially the Chicago Bears which was his favorite team.  He also enjoyed playing several rounds of cribbage with his friends.  Richard was also involved with the Old Times Athletic Club.   Richard will be deeply missed by his three children Marcy (Dion) Charles, Vickie (Mike) Niesen and Kenny Soens along with his grandchildren Ryan (Savannah) Niesen, Tyler Blackmore and Becca Niesen.  He will also be missed by his great-grandchildren Avey, Elias, Audrey, Makai and Sophie and a sister Dorothy along with nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse Kathy Soens and sister Shirley.    Private family services were held per Richard’s request.
