Jonathan Charles Lewis, 53, passed away at home on January 2, 2025. Jonathan was a loyal father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved his family unconditionally. Memorial: Maranatha Baptist Church, 3410 NW 30th St, Fort Worth, TX 76106, on Saturday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, J.C. “Johnny” Lewis III. Survivors: Son, Jonathan Charles Lewis, Jr., daughter, Briana Nicole Lewis, grandchildren, Lochlyn and Cash, mother, Joan Hammer Gibson (Dicky), sister, Jeannie Lewis Almaguer (Frank), nephews, Brandon and son, Jaden, and niece, Libby.

Marion “Lewis” Sessumes, Jr., 66, went to be with Jesus on February 21, 2024. Lewis was born on October 29, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Marion Lewis Sessumes and Merle Maxine (Yoakum) Sessumes. Lewis loved Jesus, and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Rock House, watching TV, watching wrestling, cooking, and eating his favorite dish of fried chicken. He loved the cats that hung around his apartment, and also enjoyed having hamsters when the apartments would allow it. He is survived by his mother, Merle Sessumes of Arlington formerly of Decatur, sister-in-law Kia Sessumes of Arlington, nephew Dalton Sessumes of Austin, niece Alaina Lee and husband Wesley Lee of Florida, aunt Martha Fortune of Oklahoma, cousin Nelda Fernandez of California, uncle Mike Smith and wife Tanji Smith of Alvarado, aunt Kathleen Kinnibrugh of Vernon, as well as many other cousins and relatives. Also in special recognition are Gabrielle Watts and Latasha Williams with Rock House, and Joyce Wallace, formerly with Rock House, who were all special people to Lewis. He is preceded in death by his father, Marion Lewis Sessumes Sr., and brother Mark Alan Sessumes. Lewis will be missed by many. There will be a celebration of life service at the graveside at Emerald Hills Cemetery, Kennedale, Texas on March 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

A memorial service for Lewis Clayton Mears. 68, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 9, 2024, at The Refuge Church in Cleburne followed by burial of the ashes at Brazos Point Cemetery, in Bosque County. Service will be officiated by Bishop Phillip E. Hudson and Pastor Brandon Knight of Calvary UPC Denton, Texas. Lewis passed away on the family property in Cleburne in 2023. He was born November 11, 1955 in Cleburne to Lewis Junior Mears, and Willie Mae Newsom Mears. He worked as a welder most his life. He loved walking, raising game chicken, fishing and spending time outdoors. Survivors include his children, son, Justin Mears, daughter, Ashley Bowling and Gary, daughter, Crystal Moore and Dustin, son, Junior Mears and Lindsay Payne, son, Colten Mears-Anderson; grandchildren, Drew, Logan, Raylee, Lucy, Will, Jade and Layton; brother, Steve Mears; sisters, Debbie Hudson, Shirley Neugent and Linda Hirst; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter, Christin Gail Mears; his parents and three brothers, Ricky Dale Mears, Johnny Lee Mears and Timothy Wayne Mears.
