Larry M. Dunkerly, (Bear), 64 passed away at his residence on Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Racine, WI.  He was born April 3, 1960 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Aileen (Nee: Montgomery) and Homer Dunkerly. He loved fishing, trapping and being outdoors.  Most of his life was spent in Sarasota, Florida.  Larry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially fishing.  Larry is survived by his wife Dawn Johnson, brother Ernie Lesher, children Nichole Thompson, Paul Velaquez, Larry Dunkerly, Rebecca Dunkerly, Felicia Sterling, Forrest Sterling, Kaleb Dunkerly, and Cecilia Dunkerly.  He will also be missed by daughter-in-laws Rhonda and Persphonie, and grandchildren Brianna Bigford, Kyarra Bigford, Mikaylah Ballard, Devonnan Nixon, Marilena Velasquez, Oscar Velaquez, Juan Ramos Velasquez, Abel Velasquez, Ember Velasquez, Everly Velasquez, Makayla O’Brien, Tyson O’Brien, Dylan O’Brien, Gracey O’Brien, Santiago E. Rios, Benjamin L. Rios, Anthony F. Rios, Francisco Marquez and Chase and Samaira.  He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren Eli, Ellianna, Amilia, Ava, Noah, Harmony, DeLiliah, Adalynn, Amara, Mariana and Miliyah along with many nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.  Larry is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dan and James (Jim) Dunkerly, sister Janine and two nephew Ernie Lesher and Troy Lesher.  A memorial service will be held for Larry on Friday, February 7, 2025 in Strouf Funeral Home, 1001 High Street at 1:00 p.m.  The family will receive guests in the Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 12 noon until the time of service.  Any donations or flowers can be sent to Strouf Funeral Home.
